Chairman Bigly Oil and Gas Chief Kennedy Nwankwo bags the Humanitarian Services Diamond Award in job creation and youth empowerment

Nigeria’s leading businessman and serial entrepreneur, High Chief Kennedy Nwankwo has been recognized and awarded for his outstanding service to humanity, support for national development, and for his championing of humanitarian services.

The Chairman of Bigly Oil & Gas Group bagged the prestigious Humanitarian Services Diamond Awards (HSD Award) under the category of Humanitarian Achiever in Job Creation and Youth Empowerment

According to the award organizers, it is in acknowledgment of many years of remarkable investment in developing human capital, creating jobs in critical sectors, and empowering young Nigerians many of whom have received start-up seed capital and needed support to either start new businesses or scale existing businesses.

Speaking on the decision to award Chief Nwankwo as the 2024 recipient, the HSD Awards Committee 2024 said “This is in recognition of your exceptional track records towards national development, societal upliftment, and relentless service to humanity”.

Reacting to the award, the serial entrepreneur and founder of Bigly Oil and Gas Group, Chief Kennedy Nwankwo said he was delighted to be recognized with a prestigious award such as the Humanitarian Services Diamond Award which is reputed for honoring outstanding individuals with exceptional records of positive contributions to society and in pursuing humanitarian services through charitable investments.

Speaking on the award, Chief Nwankwo said, “Even though this award is coming as a surprise, nonetheless, I am very happy to be so recognized and appreciated. It goes to show that our little efforts count toward making our society a better place

“My commitment is in developing human capital, especially the youths. This award will continue to serve as a source of motivation to keep doing more. And, I thank the awarding institution for the decision to honor me with this prestigious award of recognition” he said

The Bigly Group is a major player in the Oil and Gas sector with investment in upstream and downstream sectors of the oil industry and with significant investments in the renewable energy space.
