Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has proposed to Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru, in a moment that has set social media abuzz following alleged romantic relationship between the duo.
A viral video, that surfaced on Thursday, showed the emotional scene where 2Baba, while dancing with Osawaru, presented her with a ring, prompting cheers from onlookers. The couple then sealed the moment with a heartfelt embrace.
The proposal came shortly after 2Baba publicly confirmed his relationship with Osawaru, following his recent separation from his wife, Annie Macauley-Idibia.
Their romance between 2Baba and Osawaru, has been the subject of growing speculation after the singer was seen visiting the Edo State Assembly and later spotted at a Lagos club with the lawmaker.

Amid the swirling rumours, 2Baba had taken to Instagram on Tuesday to clarify the situation, stating that Osawaru did not play any role in the breakdown of his marriage.
2Baba, in the post said “She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman and had nothing to do with what happened between me and Annie. Yes, I love her, and I want to marry her.”
While some social media followers have congratulated the couple on their engagement others questioned the timing of the proposal given 2Baba’s current marital situation with Annie.
