PDP Fix April 12, For Three Zonal Congresses.

The National Working Committee NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP has fixed Saturday April 12, 2025 as new date for the conduct of South South, South West and North Central zonal congresses.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba on Sunday, stated that the Zonal Congress for the South South will hold in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital while that of North Central has been slated for Jos, Plateau State and that of South West will take place in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.

The Congresses are to” elect the Executive officers and National Ex–Officio Members for the respective Zonal Chapters in line with the Constitution and Guidelines of our great party “, the statement stated.

“The NWC charges all aspirants, leaders and critical stakeholders, teeming members of our party in the respective Zones, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Security Agencies and the Media to note the scheduled date of Saturday, April 12,2025 for the Zonal Congresses for South South, South West and North Central Zones of our Party and be guided accordingly ” the statement added.

The development is coming less than a week after the NWC approved a Caretaker Committee to oversee the affairs of the Party in the South South Zone following reports of a voided Congress in Calabar, Cross River State
