Barely twenty -four hours after four persons were reported killed in Edeoha Community, Upata kingdom in Ahoada East local government area,, suspected cultists stuck again on Monday another killing two persons at Odiokwu junction in Ula-Ehuda, in Igbu Akoh-Kingdon, in the same local government area.
Public Relations Officer of Igbu-Akoh kingdom, Hector Chinem, who spoke to Journalists on Monday, disclosed that on Sunday night October 20th, 2024 natives observed movement of some persons dressed in coverall and military rain coats, only for natives to to wake up on Monday morning October 21, 2024 to see two dead youths riddled with bullets.
Chinem called on the Rivers State Commissioner of Police,CP Mohammed Mustapha to as a matter of urgency strengthen security in the area to forestall represal killings

He equally appeal to youths of the local government to lay down their arms and embrace peace.
As at Monday afternoon, reports available indicates that there is heightened tension in the community as some natives and residents have started fleeing.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko was yet to respond to the Monday killing.
