FG Declares March 31, April 1 Public Holidays For Eld El Fitr

The Federal Government has declared Monday, March 31 and Tuesday April 1 public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement by the Permanent Secretary in the the Ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani

Tunji-Ojo, who congratulated Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, urged them to embrace the virtues of self-discipline, compassion, generosity and peace.

The minister, also emphasized the importance of love, forgiveness, and solidarity in building a harmonious society and called on Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace and prosperity of the nation.

Tunji-Ojo, encouraged citizens to celebrate responsibly and remember the less privileged amongst them through acts of kindness and charity in keeping with the true spirit of Ramadan and Eid.

Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government, extended heartfelt Eid Mubarak wishes to all Muslim faithfuls.
