Nigeria’s vice president, Kashim Shettima, who received the Brazil’s Vice president and his delegation to Nigeria, said the Mou marked a significant step in deepening bilateral ties between the countries.

This current initiative is part of efforts to deepen bilateral ties between Nigeria and Brazil, with over 30 MoUs expected to be signed across strategic sectors.
These sectors include defense and security cooperation, agricultural technology transfer, energy collaboration, trade facilitation and industrial development as well as cultural and educational exchange programmes.

President Bola Tinubu noted that the partnership initiative, dubbed the “Green Imperative Programme,” will transform Nigeria’s agricultural value chain through technology transfer, capacity building, and the establishment of service centres across the country.
