The Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC, has suspended the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Senator Heineken Lokpobiri.
The announcement was made by the chairman of the party ,Mitin Eniekeniemi at a press briefing on Friday.in Yenegoa, the state capital.
Lokpobiri and some members of the party are alleged to have been involved in anti-; party activities

One would recall that at a recent ceremony in Port Harcourt, Lokpobiri, a former Speaker of the Bayelsa House of Assembly, Senator and Former Minister of State for Agriculture told a mixed gathering of political audience how a serving Minister on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party influenced his appointment to the Tinubu cabinet.
There has also been a gale of defections from the APC to the PDP in his Ekeremor local government area.
The PDP, is also currently entangled is series of suspension at the national level.
