National Grid Collapses Again;

Nigeria national power grid has once again collapsed,making it the 12th time within the last 11 months Nigeria has been thrown into darkness following the collapse.

This outage has deepened concerns over the country’s ongoing power stability issues.

Confirming the latest collapse to customers, the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, IKEDC, said, “Please be informed that we experienced a system outage today, 07 November 2024, at 11:29 hiours, affecting supply within our network.”

IKEDC assured customers that effort is underway to restore power in collaboration with key stakeholders, they did not give timeline for the restoration.

“Restoration of supply is ongoing. Kindly bear with us,” the company said.

Meanwhile, as at Thursday the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, is yet to issued official statement on why the grid collapsed .
