Oborevwori Vows Transparent Project Planning, Inspired by Tinubu’s Governance Style

Oborevwori Vows Transparent Project Planning, Inspired by Tinubu’s Governance Style…Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency by promising that every project executed under his leadership will be clearly outlined and publicly disclosed before its official commissioning.

He drew inspiration from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that Tinubu’s detailed and accountable approach to governance serves as a guiding example.

The governor made this known during a recent address where he highlighted the significance of clarity, public engagement, and openness in delivering infrastructural and social development.

He stressed that the people of Delta State deserve to know what the government is doing, how it’s being done, and what the outcomes will be.

According to him, no project will be inaugurated without first being fully articulated to the public with details about cost, duration, scope, and impact.

Oborevwori stated that this approach is part of his broader developmental vision aimed at fostering trust and accountability between the government and the people.

His administration has, since taking office, launched and completed various initiatives in sectors such as transportation, education, health, and justice.

Among the many infrastructural undertakings, over 500 individual projects have already been initiated, stretching across more than 1,400 kilometers of roads and linked infrastructure.

These projects span both urban and rural areas, with a deliberate effort to enhance connectivity, facilitate trade, and improve access to essential services in previously neglected communities.

In emphasizing the importance of public awareness, the governor maintained that open communication about government projects would help citizens understand their rights and the value of public investments.

He believes that full disclosure will encourage feedback and participation, which in turn would lead to better outcomes and greater community ownership of public assets.

Oborevwori has also directed all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies involved in infrastructure and service delivery to ensure they operate with urgency and precision.

He urged them to follow through on project timelines and ensure that contracts are executed without unnecessary delays, affirming that government efficiency must be visible in real terms.

One of the signature projects already commissioned is the modern High Court Complex in Asaba.

Delivered within his first year in office, the facility stands as a symbol of his administration’s resolve to upgrade public infrastructure while adhering to deadlines and fiscal responsibility.

Several other projects in education, health, and transportation are in various stages of completion and will be inaugurated only after being formally presented to the public.

Oborevwori’s clear and deliberate communication strategy has earned him commendations from stakeholders and observers who describe his leadership style as people-focused and development-driven.

His ability to build upon inherited projects while launching new ones has also been praised, with many noting that continuity and innovation are becoming hallmarks of his tenure.

By aligning his methods with those of President Tinubu, especially in terms of public accountability and strategic communication, the Delta governor believes that public confidence can be strengthened and state development accelerated.

He remarked that emulating such leadership ideals will enable his administration to meet its promises and deliver inclusive growth across the state.

As the government continues its drive for widespread development, Oborevwori reassured citizens that every milestone reached would be preceded by full disclosure, setting a standard for transparency and responsibility in public administration.

His vision, he noted, is to leave behind a legacy of not just completed projects, but well-documented, purpose-driven initiatives that improve the lives of every Deltan.
